Producer Mannie Fresh Speaks On Previous Financial Problems Between Him And Cash Money

HipHopWired.com: Once known as the "sound" of Cash Money Records, Mannie Fresh reveals that he was never properly paid for his contributions.
Keeping things short and simple, the producer stated that his departure was solely based on money and him not receiving the funds.
Speaking with AllHipHop.com, he elaborated on the circumstances and what he gave during his tenure under Birdman.
"I did albums for Cash Money, I didn't do singles, I did whole albums for Cash Money, and at the end of the day I'm saying I wasn't paid for albums so its like you're doing 10 songs and somebody pays you for 1. What would that be equivalent to?"
When it came to the possibility of him reuniting and working with his old team again...
"In truth, I will work with them again based on this, if they cut the check. Its not going to be based on just some words but we done talked about that, we done been there and by the grace of God, we ain't enemies, none of us hate each other but business is business and that was a hard lesson for me to learn."
As many young artists getting their first taste of the business, Fresh admitted that some of the blame could easily be placed on him for just not knowing any better and being so consumed with just making music.
"I was in love with doing music, I wasn't paying attention to my business so I'm not even going to say that was all Cash Money's fault that was my fault as well but I was a young dude that didn't know any better."
As Cash Money is building, with the growing Young Money, do you think some of the old flavor from Mannie Fresh would help the team skyrocket past the competition?

Breaking News: Lindsay Lohan Sentenced To 90 Days In Jail For Violating Her Probation

Lindsay Lohan was just sentenced to 90 days in jail for violating her probation in her DUI case, followed by a 90-dayinpatient rehab program.
Judge Marsha Revel sentenced LiLo after an incredulous prosecutor, Danette Meyers, told the judge that Lohan has been thumbing her nose at the court.
The evidence was loud and clear today -- Lindsay violated probation by failing to attend her alcohol ed classes based on the schedule set by the judge. There were lots of excuses, but ultimately they didn't fly.
The judge said there was a pattern of violations since Lindsay was placed on probation in 2007 following her plea bargain in her DUI case.
Lindsay broke down as she addressed the court, telling the judge, "I did the best I could."
Lindsay dissolved into tears when the judge imposed the sentence.
Lohan must surrender on July 20 in Judge Revel's court.
Solange Knowles Suffered A Mini Mental Breakdown While Recording New Album. Insists She Doesn't Want To Be Like Beyonce

Singer Solange Knowles insists she has no desire to reach superstar status like her older sister Beyonce.
She explains, "I also hear, 'You don't get enough respect...you don't get enough love.' And I always tell those people that I'm getting your love. And to me that's enough. As long as I'm artistically free, my son is able to go to the best schools and financially we are good that's all that matters."
Solange suffered a mini mental "breakdown" while recording new tracks for her upcoming album because her search for perfection made her "lose it."
The star recently revealed she holed herself up in a house in Santa Barbara, California for an entire month with just her musician pals for company to work on the as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2008's Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams.
But Knowles admits the intense process made her go a little crazy.
She tells Vibe.com, "There was definitely a little bit of a breakdown involved. I literally gave up my sanity for a while to do this record. To the point to where I started doing it in Santa Barbara and I had to relocate to L.A. because I was losing it. We literally were waking up in the morning and just making music all day and all night. We left the house maybe three times!
"It just started to wear on me in so many different ways. I started having these crazy panic attacks. I can say that I totally sacrificed so much mentally, emotionally and financially to get this record the way I wanted it to be. It's more than an album to me. It's a transitional time in my life. This is a dance record, but the lyrics can get pretty dark at times."
